explicitly consent to that with them.
Legal basis
We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR),
relying mainly on:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract (to provide the Service).
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent (for marketing, partner offers, certain analytics, and GPS).
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests (for security, fraud prevention, and basic
product analytics where permitted).
- Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – legal obligation (for record-keeping, accounting, or legal
requirements).
Sharing & recipients
We use trusted service providers (“processors”) for hosting, authentication, analytics, and email delivery, for example:
- Cloudflare – security, CDN, DNS, and basic logs.
- Google Cloud & Firebase – hosting, authentication, infrastructure, and certain analytics.
- Supabase – database and storage for accounts, saved trips, and related application data.
- Email service providers such as SendGrid / SendPulse – transactional and marketing email
delivery and unsubscribe handling.
- Analytics tools (for example, Google Analytics or a comparable privacy-focused provider) –
aggregated usage metrics to improve the Service.
- Customer support tools / chat widgets – where implemented, to handle support and feedback.
- Affiliate and advertising networks (for example, affiliate platforms used to attribute
bookings when you click our monetized links).
These providers only process data on our instructions and under data protection agreements where required.
Marketing partners. If you have opted in, we may include offers from selected travel
partners (travel booking sites, insurance providers, mobility services, etc.) in our emails or inside the
app. You will always have a clear option to unsubscribe from marketing emails.
International transfers
Some of our providers are located outside the EEA. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we use
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other appropriate safeguards recognized under the GDPR.
Retention
We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above:
- Account and trip data – while you have an active account and for a limited period afterwards for backup,
security, or legal purposes.
- Marketing data – until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, or we decide to stop that activity.
- Logs and security data – for a limited period appropriate for security and compliance.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have rights to request access to your personal data, rectification or erasure, restriction
of processing, data portability (where applicable), and to object to certain processing, including where we
rely on legitimate interests.
You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in our emails. You can also
contact us to exercise your rights or request deletion of your account at:
legal@tixplore.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, for example the
Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands.
Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies on Tixplore.com. These fall into the following categories:
-
Strictly necessary cookies – required for security, basic site functions, and remembering
your cookie choices. These are always active.
-
Functional cookies – for optional features such as remembering your preferences or
improving the user experience.
-
Analytics cookies – to measure usage (for example, which pages are visited) and improve
the product. These only run with your consent where required by law.
-
Marketing & affiliate cookies – to measure when a booking made on a partner site
should be attributed to Tixplore.com (for example, through affiliate networks), and to understand which
offers perform best. These only run with your consent in the EU/UK/CH.
You can manage your choices via our cookie banner or controls where available. If you reject non-essential
cookies, the core trip planning features should still work, but some analytics and offer personalization
may not.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in
transit and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Tixplore.com is not intended for children under 16. Please do not submit a child’s email address or create
an account for a child without appropriate consent.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be clearly signposted on this
page, and where required, we will seek your renewed consent (for example, for new types of marketing).
Affiliate attribution details
When you click a monetized link, the URL may include a click identifier (for example, a CJ “Event ID” or
similar). If you consent to Marketing & affiliate cookies, we may store a small identifier in
your browser so that the advertiser can credit Tixplore.com if you later purchase.
Some advertisers support cookieless or server-to-server attribution. In those cases, the click ID in the
URL is matched by the advertiser or affiliate network without setting client-side cookies. We do not see
your full booking details; we typically receive only aggregated or pseudonymous conversion information
(such as commission earned, booking value range, or region).
2) Terms of Use
Scope
These Terms govern your use of the Tixplore.com website, apps, and related services (the “Service”).
Tixplore.com is an AI-assisted travel planning tool that helps you generate, save, and share trip ideas and
itineraries. We may add, change, or remove features from time to time.
Eligibility & permitted use
-
By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that the information you provide (such as your
email address) is accurate and that you are authorized to use it.
-
Do not submit another person’s email or personal data without their permission. The Service is intended
for users aged 16 or older.
-
You may not use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or infringing purpose.
Accounts & security
Certain features (such as saving trips, inviting a travel buddy, or viewing your history) require a
Tixplore account or sign-in via a supported third-party login (for example, Google or Apple).
-
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and access tokens confidential and for all
activity that occurs under your account.
-
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe there is
misuse, fraud, security risk, or a breach of these Terms.
-
You may request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account may
permanently remove your saved trips and related content.
Communications & marketing
By creating an account or subscribing, you agree that we may send you necessary service and account
communications (for example, login links, security alerts, and important updates about the Service).
These are not marketing and are part of providing the Service.
Service emails (for example, sending your trip plan to your inbox) may include contextual links or offers related to that specific trip,
such as hotel or ticket options. These are part of the Service. Separate, standalone marketing campaigns are only sent if you have opted in.
Separately, you may choose to receive Tixplore.com product news and marketing and, if you
opt in, partner updates and offers. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time via
unsubscribe links or your settings.
AI & informational content
The Service uses AI models to generate suggested itineraries, routes, and travel ideas. All such content is
for informational and planning purposes only and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
You must independently verify any critical information before you travel, including but not limited to:
travel restrictions, visa and entry requirements, local laws, health and safety guidance, insurance
coverage, opening times, and transport schedules. Tixplore.com does not provide professional advice (legal,
medical, financial, or travel agency services).
Third-party links, bookings & affiliates
The Service may display or link to third-party websites, apps, or services, including travel booking sites,
airlines, hotels, car rental providers, insurers, and activity operators.
-
Tixplore.com does not sell travel products itself and does not process
your payments. When you click a link and make a booking, you enter into a contract directly with the
third-party provider, not with us.
-
We do not control and are not responsible for third-party prices, availability, fees, terms, policies,
or service quality. Any booking, change, cancellation, refund, or complaint must be handled with the
relevant third-party provider.
-
Affiliate disclosure: some links may be affiliate links. If you make a qualifying
booking through such a link, we may earn a commission from the third-party provider or affiliate network
at no extra cost to you. This does not change your rights against the third-party provider.
Intellectual property
The Tixplore.com site, brand, underlying software, and content (excluding your own trip data) are owned by
us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access
and use the Service for its intended purpose.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide,
royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve and develop our products, where permitted by law.
Acceptable use
- No scraping, bulk harvesting, or automated access beyond what is permitted by our public APIs.
- No probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Service or circumventing security measures.
- No reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code, except where allowed by law.
- No use of the Service in a way that interferes with or disrupts our infrastructure or other users.
Changes & availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including by removing or
changing features. We will use reasonable efforts to signpost material changes to these Terms (for example,
by updating this page and adjusting the “Last updated” date).
Service availability & no guarantees
We work to keep the Service reliable, but it may still contain bugs, omissions, or inaccuracies and may be
unavailable from time to time (for example, due to maintenance, outages, or third-party issues).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”,
without warranties of any kind (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any itinerary, suggestion, or price is accurate,
complete, or suitable for your needs.

resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including:

Assumption of risk: Travel involves inherent risks. By using the Service, you agree
that Tixplore.com is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, financial loss, or other harm
that may occur during your trip. You are responsible for your own safety and for securing adequate travel
insurance where appropriate.
The Service is a planning tool to provide ideas and options. The final success and safety of your trip
depend on your own diligence and decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
-
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or
punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising out of or in connection with
your use of the Service.
-
Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service and these Terms is limited to the greater
of €25 or the total amounts you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event
giving rise to the claim (often €0 during early stages of the Service).
-
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is unlawful (for
example, liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or other non-waivable statutory rights).
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tixplore.com and its operators from
third-party claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your unlawful use
of the Service or your material breach of these Terms.
Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by
the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in Amsterdam, the
